June 11, 2013

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Argus Health Systems, Inc., a leading independent provider of healthcare information management services, today announced that several company associates were recognized by the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) at its 2013 Annual Technology & Business Conference, May 5-9, 2013.

NCPDP, a not-for-profit Standards Development Organization with over 1600 members representing virtually every sector of the pharmacy services industry, presented its prestigious Rising Star Award and two Most Valuable Participant (MVP) awards to Traci Gercone, Argus CMS Program Office. Gercone has been a leader in various NCPDP sub-task groups and was recognized for her efforts on the Long-Term Post-Acute Care Billing Issues task group and the CMS Notice sub-task group.

Other MVP Award winners from Argus included Craig Bentley, Pharmacy Network Operations, Earleen Goodman, Rebate and Contracts Administration, and Mary Lynam, Product Planning. All were active in NCPDP task groups, committees, education and training initiatives, committees, or information development.

In addition, John Hill, MBAHCM, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Argus Health Systems, was elected to join the NCPDP Board of Trustees and received an MVP award. Hill, who served as interim Vice Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee in early 2013, has played a significant role in advancing NCPDP's efforts to educate policymakers about the organization's role in healthcare reform and its value as a resource to policymakers.

"I am honored to join the Board of NCPDP and look forward to helping the organization realize its vision of consensus-based standards for the pharmacy industry," said Hill. "As longstanding members of NCPDP, Argus Health Systems supports the initiatives set forth by this organization and we look forward to continuing our participation in the future."
