  • Eligibility:
    BadgerCare Plus is a Wisconsin ForwardHealth Plan. If you are enrolled, benefits include: Prenatal care, Doctor and clinic visits, Dental Care Prescription drugs, including prenatal drugs, and Labor and delivery. If you are a pregnant woman, you may have family income up to 300% of the federal poverty level. This is $2,707.50 per month for one person.Pregnant women have no premiums or co-payments under BadgerCare Plus. Pregnant women with income between 200% to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level who are insured must keep their insurance. Pregnant women above 300% of the Federal Poverty Level must pay a deductible before they can get BadgerCare Plus. There is no co-payment for pregnancy-related services.
    Other Information:
    Temporary health insurance for pregnant women is available through BadgerCare Plus. You may be able to get temporary health insurance for pregnancy-related services, for up to two months, before you apply for regular BadgerCare Plus through your local county or tribal agency. Program e-mail: vedsrecipientservices@wisconsin.gov Your pregnancy must be verified by a health care provider, your family's gross monthly income must be at or below the income limit for temporary health insurance and you must meet all other program rules. If you already have a health care provider, call and ask if s/he can use Express Enrollment to help you get temporary health insurance through BadgerCare Plus. If not, call 1-800-362-3002, and they will find a BadgerCare Plus provider for you. If you're able to be enrolled, your temporary health insurance will start the same day you apply with your BadgerCare Plus provider. Your benefits will continue through the last day of the next month. For example: If your BadgerCare Plus provider enrolls you on June 6, your coverage will last until July 31. Note: BadgerCare Plus also has a plan for pregnant women who have been denied BadgerCare Plus because of their immigration or citizenship status, or who are in prison or jail.
