Program Description:
Vermont Rx Card is the free statewide prescription assistance program. Everyone living or working in the state is eligible to receive savings through this free program and there are no applications, no restrictions and no eligibility requirements.
The program was launched in 2011, as a joint effort with the Vermont Medical Society, to offer assistance to the uninsured. Vermont Rx Card can also be used to discount prescription medications that are not covered by insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. Residents can potentially save up to 80% on most brand and generic medications, with an average savings of 30%.
Program directors, along with the Vermont Medical Society, are creating awareness statewide by establishing distribution sites at clinics, hospitals and other organizations. Vermont Rx Card is accepted at over 68,000 pharmacies nationwide including; Kinney Drugs, Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid and Walmart.

Eligibility is based on household income and family size. A family of two can earn up to and including $3,658* per month, a family of three can earn up to and including $4,598* per month and a family of four can earn up to and including $5,538* per month and still be eligible. You may still qualify if your monthly income is higher if you have earned income and/or child care expenses

Program Description:
Dr. Dynasaur is a health insurance program for children, teens under 18 and pregnant women. Broad income guidelines are designed to cover as many families as possible - currently a family of four can make up to $60, 156 per year and still be eligible. You may qualify even if you have other health insurance. Even if you are 18 to 21 years old, you may be eligible for low cost or free health insurance.
