Program Description:

Missouri Drug Card is a free statewide prescription assistance program available to all Missouri residents. There are no applications, no eligibility requirements and no fees of any kind. The program was launched in July 2008 to help uninsured and underinsured afford their prescription medications. Residents who have insurance, Medicare or Medicaid can also use the program to discount not covered by their pharmacy benefits.

The Missouri Drug Card is working with the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Missouri State Medical Association (MSMA), Missouri Nurses Association (MONA) and Missouri Restaurant Association. Additionally, chambers throughout the state as well as a number of small businesses are also working with Missouri Drug Card in order to expand card distribution sites throughout the state.

The Missouri Drug Card provides discounts on both brand and generic medications with an average savings around 30%, with some discounts ranging as high as 80%. The program is completely confidential and all cards are pre-activated and do not expire. The program is accepted at over 68,000 pharmacies nationwide including major chains such as: Schnucks, Kmart, CVS/pharmacy, Kroger, Walmart, Walgreens, Target and Rite Aid. This Program is not insurance.

The Missouri Drug Card is a simple solution to the confusing maze of discount programs that have appeared in recent years. Residents can print a free pre-activated card, locate participating pharmacies, and search drug pricing by visiting www.missouridrugcard.com.
