Express Scripts Acquires SmartD Medicare Prescription Drug Plan; Adds to Industry-Leading Medicare Offering

ST. LOUIS,-- Express Scripts today announced the strategic acquisition of the SmartD Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) which will add 87,000 covered Medicare lives. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In 2013, the plan earned four out of five possible stars – the highest of any nationally offered PDP.**
