The Mission of the Nevada Check Up program (Children's Health Insurance Program) is to provide low-cost, comprehensive health care coverage to low income, uninsured children (birth through 18) who are not covered by private insurance or Medicaid.

  • Eligibility:
    A child may qualify for Nevada Check Up if: The child is not eligible for Medicaid; The child is a U.S. citizen or "qualified alien." The child did not have health insurance within the last six months, or has recently lost insurance for reasons beyond the parents' control; The child is under age 19 at the date the coverage will begin; and the family's gross annual income is between 100% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Level guidelines
